The National Parent Teacher Association (National PTA®) comprises millions of families, students, teachers, administrators, and business and community leaders devoted to the educational success of children and the promotion of parent involvement in schools.National PTA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education. Membership in National PTA is open to anyone who wants to be involved and make a difference for the education, health, and welfare of children and youth.
Kentucky Parent Teacher Association (KYPTA)
The Kentucky PTA (KYPTA) was chartered in 1918 as a state affiliate of the National PTA. The organization celebrated their 90th anniversary in 2008 and will celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2018. Kentucky PTA is a non-profit, tax exempt, 501 ( c ) (3) charitable association registered with the Internal Revenue Service as an education organization. The vision of Kentucky PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality. Kentucky PTA’s mission is to be a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
15th District Parent Teacher Association
The Kentucky 15th District PTA seeks to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation. Their policy is to promote the welfare of children and youth in the home, school community, and place of worship; raise the standards of home life; secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth; bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth; and develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
